Knott’s Berry Farm Is All About Summer Fun!
This summer Knott’s Berry Farm offers loads of family fun for all ages with an original new stage production, thrill rides galore and unparalleled special entertainment for the entire family.
Over at the Charles M. Schulz Theatre, Knott’s Berry Farm is proud to present “Everyone Loves Snoopy” (dark Wednesdays) an exciting ice show debuting June 20. In this musical extravaganza you will fall in love with the Peanuts gang all over again as Snoopy takes center stage along with world-class ice skaters in a show that will delight the entire family. Catchy tunes, elaborate costumes, special effects and show-stopping choreography make this production a not-to-miss experience.
For the younger set, “Lucy’s Really Big Show” features Lucy Van Pelt in her very own show at the Camp Snoopy Theatre. The darling diva is joined by her brother, Linus and good friends, Charlie Brown and JT in a show that’s sure to delight kids of all ages.
Get your thrills at the “All Wheels Extreme” show at the Calico Square which starts June 20 (dark Monday/Tuesday). BMX bikers, skateboarders and acrobats perform in a gravity-defying, extreme sports spectacular. At twilight the Calico Square Stage becomes the place to learn the latest dances such as the “Boot Scootin’ Boogie” with Knott’s line dancing aficionados, J.T. and Dusty.
The summer really heats up with “Fiesta Folklorico.” Guests in Fiesta Village will be treated to beautifully costumed dancers as they present culturally-rich performances filled with intricate choreography.
On June 21, Knott’s will celebrate Father’s Day with Nik Wallenda, seventh generation of the legendary Great Wallendas and two time Guiness Record holder, as he attempts to cross Knott’s Berry Farm 80 feet in the air across a tightrope, with no net! Come watch this daredevil as he makes his second stop on his national “Walk Across America” tour.
On July 18, celebrate Filipino heritage at the Kababayan Filipino Festival. Hip hop dance troupe Kaba Modern puts a unique twist on the celebration with their cutting edge dance moves. Also performing are the Bosco Brothers, Jasmine Villegas, Ashley Robles and comedian Edwin San Juan.
On August 1, come experience the San-Ming Classical Chinese Orchestra from Taiwan. This world renowned orchestra consists of 30 musicians ages 10 to 15 who will perform classical Chinese music.
On August 15 and 16, Knott’s honors “The King” when the premier Elvis impersonator Raymond Michael returns for a special engagement. Named by Dick Clark as one of the best Elvis tribute acts in the world, Michael has performed in a variety of venues from local, city concerts to national television. Michael keeps the memory of Elvis alive with his upbeat, classy and entertaining tribute to the King of Rock and Roll.
On August 22-23 and 29-30, Snoopy will share his home with some other talented pooches when Knott’s Berry Farm presents the Perondis “Extreme Canines Stunt Show.” This crowd-pleasing show features over a dozen talented pups, all of whom have been rescued from pounds and shelters across the country. The show includes world-class Frisbee catching dogs, weave pole racing, a one-of-a-kind triathlon, big air stunts, comedy antics, juggling and more!
Weekends were made for BBQs and Knott’s is firing up the grill every Saturday and Sunday through September 7. One of the best reasons to visit Knott’s Berry Farm during the summer is that Knott’s is open late, and guests can get in after 4 p.m. for only $25.99 for Regular admission and $22.99 for Juniors (under 48”) and Seniors (62 years and older). Enjoy the fantastic summertime evening weather while riding your favorite rides, sampling some Mrs. Knott’s famous fried chicken or doing a little shopping.
Tickets to Knott’s Berry Farm are $51.99 for Regular admission and $22.99 for Juniors (under 48 inches) and Seniors 62 and over. Children under three are free. Ralph’s shoppers can purchase tickets with their Club Card this summer for only $34.99 for Regular admission (a $17 savings) and $22.99 for Juniors and Seniors. Tickets will be valid through November 1, 2009.
Just across the street from Knott’s Berry Farm, Knott’s Soak City is ready for another fun-filled season. Cool off in Tidal Wave Bay or take a ride on Pacific Spin, Soak City’s newest ride. Pacific Spin riders are blasted down into a 132-foot long tunnel, then drop a stomach-churning 63 feet into the mouth of a six story funnel. This thrilling escapade culminates in a waterfall splash that deposits riders into a cool catch pool.
Knott’s Soak City Orange County and San Diego will be open daily through September 7, then weekends only September 12 through 20. Knott’s Soak City Palm Springs will be open daily until Labor Day and weekends through September 27. Tickets to Knott’s Soak City are $29.99 for Regular admission (48” and taller) and $19.99 for Juniors (under 48”) and Seniors 62 years and older.
